| Abstract: | Techniques for the quantitative assessment and classification of vocal disorders are described. Models for vocal disorders using speech synthesis are examined. Methods for characterizing the electroglottography (EGG) waveform and the assessment of vocal quality using acoustic and EGG signal features are discussed. |
