Abstract:In order to improve the coverage performance of 5G NR networks,the coverage enhancement solutions for bottleneck channels are studied and discussed.Specifically,for physical uplink shared channel,repetition transmission enhancement,multi-slot transport block processing and joint channel estimation are considered,for physical uplink control channel,dynamic repetition indication and DMRS bundling are considered,and repetition transmission solutions are considered for Msg3 channel in random access process.Based on the above enhancement solutions,this paper focuses on the standardization work for coverage enhancement in 3GPP Release 17 NR,and introduces and analyzes the corresponding standardization progresses.Finally,the necessity of coverage enhancement standardization work for 3GPP Release 18 is analyzed,and the related standardization directions are prospected.
