Application of Cored-wire Injection Nodularizing Treating Process in Lost Wax Casting

By using steel scrap,nodular iron returns,high quality carburetant as main melting charges,using 0.5 t medium frequency induction furnace,the synthetic nodular iron was melted.Through investigating the adding order and adding amounts of various charges and carburetant,a rational melting process was determined.Combined with the lost wax precision casting production mode,a special 2 in 1 nodularizing and inoculating cored-wire was independently developed,suited 0.5 t cored-wire injection nodularizing treating ladle was designed,and the appropriate process parameters such as the cored-wire feeding length and feeding speed were found out to apply the cored-wire injection nodularizing process in batch production of lost wax casting process.The production result showed:nodularizing effect was quite good,the matrix structure was fine,all mechanical property items met technical requirements.
