Re-thinking of Construction of Historic and Cultural Cities

Historic and Cultural Cities system has given rise to a new pattern of development for urban construction in China.It has defined and enriched the construction concept of cultural connotation as the core.The construction of historic and cultural cities should be based on the study of the innermost connotation of the history and culture of the city and a troup of scholars to study the historic and cultural cities should be formed,allowing them to participate in the decision making process.It is advisable to establish an urban thematic cultural system and to carefully study each step of the urban development so as to embody the foresee-ability of the planning.
