指纹图像预处理新方法

摘    要:介绍并实现了一套完整的指纹图像预处理方法,通过剩余块处理和平滑方法改进了传统的指纹图像分割算法;使用方向匹配的方法对指纹图像方向块进行方向滤波完成图像增强;并除去细化后存在的短线和毛刺。该算法对Secugen指纹仪采集的图像和FVC2004数据库中的指纹图像进行实验,结果表明经过预处理后的指纹图像质量得到明显增强,方便进行细节特征提取。

Abstract:A new full fingerprint preprocessing algorithm, which improves traditional fingerprint images segment algorithm by using residual block disposal and smoothing, was introduced, and an orientation-match method that filters orientation field to enhance images was proposed, which removes short line and spur after thinning. The performance of the algorithm has been evaluated by conducting experiments on fingerprint images in FVC2004 database. Experimental results show that the algorithm improves the quality of fingerprint image and makes it convenient for minutiae extraction.
