DEVELOPMENT TREND OF MATERIALS FOR MANUFACTURING OF WELDED PIPE MILL ROLLS AND RELEVANT PROPOSALS

Discussed in the paper is the development trend of the meterials used for forged/rolled and cast steel/cast iron rolls of welded pipe mills. Taking the comprehensive performances of the welded pipe mill roll into consideration, the author makes the proposal that efforts be made in developing cast steel or cast iron rolls of welded pipe mills progressively, meanwhile, maintenance of the welded pipe mill rolls and proper recycling of scrap rolls be furthered.
