A discussion on production characteristics and recovery measures at late stage for surpressure gas reservoir

This paper studies the production characteristics of the surpressure gas reservoir in the eastern Sichuan and the development measures at the late stage by taking the Feixianguan gas reservoir in Well Tian-dong 95 of the Shapingchang block in the Datianchi gas field as an example.In this well,pressure coefficient is 1.65,gas production is 108.3×104m3/d during well completion test,the reserves(dynamic reserves is 1.018×108m3) is small,the production process is characterized by high deliverability at the early stage,reservoir pressure and production decline rapidly,and shut-in pressure recovers slowly.The study shows that production allocation should not be high in the initial stage for surpressure gas reservoir,and appropriate flow regime should be formulated for the late stage,such as increasing production for drainage,intermittent production,liquid-carrying production with auxiliary measures,and reducing wellhead back pressure.
