| 摘 要： | 双关语是英语和汉语中较为常见的修辞手段,双关语的翻译不仅是语言之间的转换,更是所属文化信息的转换.本文探讨了文化的含义以及不同文化的共性与差异.提出在具有跨文化交际能力的基础上可运用特定的技巧对双关语进行翻译.

| Abstract: | Pun is a widely used figurative speech in both English and Chinese. The puns' translation is not only the switch of two different languages but of two distinct cultures. The paper expounds the implication of culture, the universals and peculiarities of cultures. The author further argues that the puns can be translatable if translators or interpreters achieve intercultural competence. |
