摘    要:文章讨论紧凑型热带钢生产工艺(CSP)由于结晶器传热导致的产品质量问题。结晶器均匀传热对于保证高速薄板坯连铸机的最佳性能至关重要,铜板传热速率的差异导致固化坯壳内出现温度梯度,造成表面缺陷。对该CSP钢厂的产品质量问题进行分析后发现,在结晶器的水质参数与产品表面缺陷频率增加之间存在一定联系。在实施了工程学解决方案后,即在采用独特的水处理技术、改进机械设备和实施创新的自动控制后,减少了水侧沉积,改进结晶器传热均匀性并降低表面纵裂缺陷率。

Abstract:The paper discusses thermal transport challenges of mold in Compact Strip Production (CSP) Mills which cause product quality issue. Uniform mold heat transfer is critical for optimum performance of high-speed thin slab casters. Variances in heat transfer rates across the coppers results in thermal gradients within the solidifying metal shell and lead to surface irregularities. Analysis ofa CSP mill's quality issues uncovered a causal link between mold water chemistry parameters and increased frequency of surface defects. An engineered solution was implemented, utilizing unique water treatment chemistry, mechanical modifications, and innovative automation. This solution reduced cold-face deposits thereby decreasing longitudinal face crack defect.
