科研是高职院校的一项重要工作，科研成果最客观、最易为人感知，有利于扩大学校影响，创造学校品牌。同时。科研活动是一种创新性活动，有利于培养和锻炼学校教师，提高师资队伍水平。高职院校应充分发挥科研工作对学校建设的作用，要引入竞争机制与激励机制，出台有利于科研发展的政策与措施；建立科研工作的奖励制度；建立科研与教学的互通机制，同时提供相应平台、方便教师从事科研。
