Along with the deepening of the urbanization process in China, in the situation of land resource to acute shortage, new changes of housing in the city have appeared in the demand and design type, the small type housing has become the mainstream of China＇s domestic market development. This paper through the analysis on the design development trend of small apartments in overseas and Hongkong, and factors influencing small type residential design in China, summarizes the development trend of small type housing design in china.
