| Abstract: | English nation is different from Chinese nation. There exists obvious differences in their thinking mode, which influence each language in many ways. English and Chinese are of different language families. They have their own special linguistic characteristics .When English is translated into Chinese ,word-for-word translation does not always work, so some other techniques are required .This article discusses some common ways of conversions in translation. |
