Forming process and die development for the asymmetric special-shaped drawing parts based on automotive exhaust gas system

The forming process and structure of a drawing die for a type of asymmetric special-shaped part in an auto exhaust gas system were described.As the single-part forming is difficult,technological connection zone was considered adding between two forming parts for multi-part drawing.A detailed discussion was made on the technological connection zone.The experiment shows that multi-part drawing is more effective than single-part drawing.
