Abstract:In order to improve the harvesting efficiency of the piezoelectric energy harvesting system, a selfpowered energy management circuit for piezoelectric energy harvesting is presented in this article. An active full bridge rectifier circuit based on the parallel synchronized switch harvesting on inductor(PSSHI) technique is used to improve the power extraction capability from piezoelectric harvester and reduce the conduction loss on the rectifying path. A low power consumption voltage regulator, stepdown integrated chip and super capacitors are used to achieve highly efficient energy collection and storage. The simulation results show that when the analog output voltage amplitude is 20 V, the output power of the proposed rectifier circuit is 1.084 6 W, which is 16.8% higher than that of the average output power of the traditional rectifier circuit. When the maximum output voltage is 5 V, the stored energy can reach 4.137 1 J in 30 s.
