地理信息语义关系元数据研究及应用

地理信息的发现是地理信息共享的前提和基础，目前主要以基于元数据的目录服务为主。目录服务中的信息发现是以关键字匹配为主，这种方法往往难于满足用户的需求。本文讨论了如何利用计算机领域内的本体(ontology)理论和语义网络的方法，建立描述数据之间语义关系的关系元数据(Relation Metadata)，并初步实现了基于语义关系元数据的地理信息资源发现服务的原型系统。

Research on Geographic Information Semantic Relation Metadata

Geographic information discovery which is mainly catalog service based metadata is foundation of Geographic information sharing. Today's information discovery methods in catalog service are typically limited to keyword searches or matches of sub-strings, which do not meet user's demand. This paper discusses how to use ontology theory and semantic Web methods to build Relation Metadata describing semantic relation between geographic data, and present a prototype system of geographic information resource discovery service based semantic relation metadata.
