Guidelines to Design for Disassembly and Recycling

Meeting the challenges of the degradation of the environment, the shortage of resources and the difficulties to dispose the huge amount of wastes, many researches have been done on design for disassembly and recycling. Disassembly and recycling are important stages in the product life cycle, accordingly much attention should be paid to the product's disassemblability and recyclability during design process. Based on the analysis of the factors that affect the disassemblability and recyclability of the product, this paper presents some guidelines to design for disassembly and recycling.
