| Abstract: | This article looks at the development of thin-film electrolyte membranes, which can be combined with thin-film porous graphite electrodes to form a membrane electrode assembly for fuel cells. In particular, details are given of a miniaturised direct methanol fuel cell, based on the use of micro-system technologies, including the thin-film membrane assembly. |
