摘    要:激光显示系统中常采用高速宽带声光调制器调制激光光强,使衍射光束的光强随视频信号变化,系统要求调制器具有很快的响应速度和很高的衍射效率。采用熔石英作为声光介质,铌酸锂作为换能器,设计并制作出工作中心频率为180MHz,调制频率为32MHz,衍射效率达75%的高速宽带声光调制器。并设计了一套使激光光源和声光调制器相匹配的光学系统,在优化激光束聚焦的基础上提高调制速度。设计的高速声光调制器基本满足了激光显示的要求。

Abstract:High-speed acousto-optic modulator(AOM) is widely used in laser display,the intensity of diffraction light beam is dependant on the video signal.Fast modulation speed and high diffraction efficiency are required in the system.Fused silica crystal was selected as an acousto-optic(AO) medium and 36°Y cut lithium niobate(LiNbO3) single crystal as a transducer material.A high-speed and broadband AOM with the carrier frequency of 180MHz,the modulation frequency of 32MHz,diffraction efficiency of 75% was designed.An optical matching system between the laser source and AOM was designed to increase the modulation speed on the base of optimization of laser focusing.The high-speed AOM designed can meet the requirement of laser display.
