Abstract:The method of equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) has been used to investigate the effects on structure of aluminum alloy 2024. The ECAP can be used to produce large plastic strain, which can refine the original grain and the thin needle phase dispersed in the structure. The initial texture structure can be cleared away as the equivalent true strain is high enough.
