Curriculum Reformation and Practice in Design Graphics CourseBased on Discipline Merging and Module Subdivision

The status and challenges, which engineering graphics course faced with, are outlined. The necessity for curriculum reform is discussed and a teaching reform scheme is described with some aspects, such as course contents, teaching methods, assessment methods, etc. By analyzing the similarity and difference between graphics course and design disciplines, a teaching method of discipline merging and module subdivision is presented by dividing graphics teaching contents to basic part and advanced part. The ways of merging and different kind of teaching modules are summarized.
