Abstract:Firing data were received from forty-eight manufacturers of many types of ceramic products. The products were divided into six classes, and minimum, maximum, and average values are presented in chart form on the firing cycle, loading, heat consumption, and firing costs. Fuel costs are analyzed, and data are given for two small, electric, twin-tunnel kilns.
