Abstract: | The recovery of copper from α-etchant waste and pure copper solution was investigated by means of the hydrogen-reduction process. The effects of hydrogen pressure, temperature, agitation rate, and reaction time on the amount of copper recovery were considered. The results indicate that the amount of copper recovery exhibited a maximum value with increases in the hydrogen pressure and stirring rate; however, it was not affected by the reaction temperature. The maximum amount of recovery was 60% from the α-etchant sclution when the hydrogen pressure was 2 MPa and the stirring rate was 500 rpm. C.-W.
