川东地区石炭系碳酸盐岩薄储层的横向预测

LATERAL TREND PREDICATION ON THIN CARBONIFEROUS CARBONATE RESERVOIRS IN THE EAST OF SICHUAN PROVINCE

This paper demonstrates the feasibility of predicting thin Carboniferous carbonate reservoirs with seismic methods based on an applied example on Gao Fen Chang structure in the east of Sichuan province in combination with the relevant drilling and logging data in the same area. The procedure, methodology and effectiveness of the technique in practice are also described, in which emphasis is given to alleviating the influence from stacking processes related to the data over steep structures on the waveform of wavelets as far as possible, and making use of the feature of less high-frequency attenuation in carbonate areas to improve the resolution for seismic sections. Seismic sections with good resolution will be a great help to the lateral trend predication for thin carbonate reservoirs. Since such a pattern of reservoir can be found everywhere in Sichuan Basin, the technique described here will definitely find application in predicting the trend of lateral extension for reservoirs.
