Abstract:To improve the voltage gain of a Sepic converter, the converter is combined with a diode-capacitor multiplier unit. At the same time, the structure of a coupled inductor is introduced, and a novel kind of high-gain coupled inductor combination Sepic converter is proposed, which retains the characteristics of continuous input current while improving the voltage gain. Meanwhile, the diode-capacitor branch in the Sepic structure is used as a passive clamping absorption circuit to absorb the leakage inductance energy, thus reducing the voltage stress of the switching tube. The working principle of the converter is analyzed, its performance parameters are deduced, its performance is compared with those of other high-gain Sepic converters, and the application expansion of the combination idea to other basic converters is also given. Finally, a 150 W experimental prototype was built on the laboratory platform to verify the theoretical analysis.
