Study on a new synthetic method for cyclic carbonates |

| Abstract: | A series of cyclic carbonate monomers were synthesized from diols and diethylcarbonate by transesterification using sodium and dibutyltin dilaurate as the catalyst and by depolymerization of the prepolymer. This method could give the cyclic carbonate monomers in a yield of over 70% and reduce the reaction time. |
