Custom-built executable file with parameters is often used during the development of software systems.A method of opening the custom-built media player with parameters through ActiveX control and hyperlink is introduced.At first the application background of ActiveX control is introduced.The functions of ShellExecute() which is used in the program are also expatiated.Then the process of making the ActiveX control in the Visual C .Net and its registration are discussed in detail.The embedment of the control into the web through the language of HTML is analyzed.In the end an example is shown to illustrate the validity of this method.
