| Abstract: | Preventive measures for the mercury pollution of mercuric chloride catalysts in the production of PVC by calcium carbide method were introduced. The measures included the application of low mercury catalysts, the assessment of mercury flow, and the treatment of mercury conrained in gas phase, liquid phase and hydrochloric acid. |
