Abstract:In this study, the chemical cross-linked method was used to foam Polypropylene (PP) by one-step process of mould pressing. We studied the effects of technologcial conditions and formulation on the structure and properties during the foaming precess. Then we got the better technologcial conditions and formulation, which can foam the polypropylene with excellent properties. The temperature of the upper and bottom hot plate is 180℃ - 190℃ ; the mould pressure is 7.5MPa - 10. 0MPa; The amount of foam agent (AC), cross-linker (DCP) and nucleating agent (SiO2) is 1.0% - 1.5%, 0. 1% -0. 3% and 0. 15% -0.25% respectively.
