| Abstract: | Efficient hot rolling of broad strip thicker than 16.0 mm is developed, so as to ensure high product quality and rational
cell loading in the 2000 mill at OAO MMK. Simulation by the finite-element method indicates that intensifying the unit reduction
in the finishing group increases the likelihood of crack formation. Rolling of strip thicker than 16.0 mm with five finishing
passes is proposed. |
