Probing into the Quantitative Method to Compare Competitiveness between Coal-to-Olefin Project and Naphtha-to-Olefin Project

The world energy market price has experienced rising, range-bound in high price level and rapid fall since 2010. Meanwhile China has developed vast capacity of coal-to-olefin units, which compete with the naphtha-to-olefin units in the market. This article develops a quantitative method based on cost-analysis to compare the competitiveness between coal-to-olefin project and naphtha-to-olefin project.
