复合材料的微波处理

摘    要:尝试将微波技术用于复合材料的制造,并检验了微波处理后材料的宏观特征、弹性模量和弯曲强度,试料为长玻璃纤维强化的树脂基单向复合材料,纤维的体积分数为56%,微波处理的工艺为:p1kw,持续3min,未施加压力,显微观察发现,处理后的材料中存在富基体的层,基体中有极少数的气泡,用超声波技术和弯曲实验测出了材料的弹性模量和弯曲强度,研究结果表明,微波处理速度快,且处理后的力学性能较好。

Abstract:The microwave curing of a unidirectional E-glass fiber/epoxy composite was carried out under the curing condition as follows:1kW for 3 minutes without application of pression. The such cured composite has a fiber volume fraction of 56%. It was found that there exists the matrix bands in composites.There is almost no void. By using ultrasound technique, no difference of elastic moduli was found between two extremes of composite plates and between bright and dark area observed on the surface.Three point bending tests gave Young's modulus and bending strength in the fiber direction. Microscopic observation showed different failure mechanisms on the rupture surface, depending on the local stress states.
