Abstract:This paper describes the trend of all-optical processing techniques such as EDFA, optical MUX/ DEMUX, optical synchronizing, OXC/ OADM, and the trend of high capacity communication techniques of WDM, OTD.M and soliton. The future development of NZ-DSF and PIC/ OEIC is also mentioned in the article.
