The backlog of iron and steel is a symbol of the country’s ability of economy and national defence,as well as an important index of country’s modern civilization and comprehensive nation power.On the basis of study for many years,the writer introduces the different aspects of calculation of iron and steel backlog,deduction from the historical volume of iron and steel production in main large steel-producing countries of the world.The estimation and viewpoints of the relevant experts and scholars in China on accumulated volume of main steel producer worldwide are collected,which is expected to be helpful to the people in the iron and steel industry to understand the comprehensive power of the large steel-producing countries of the world and hold the development tendency of iron and steel industry.
