The discussion on tar removal method in biomass gasification for power system

The most difficult problem in biomass gasification for power system , some contaminations including certain amount of tar in the gas, these components have some bad affects on the equipments in terms of gas turbine or gas engine. As a result, to remove the tar from gas during the process of biomass gasification is an important issue at home and abroad. Basing on the research of related data, the text expatiate the mechanism of tar formation in gasification process, factors that influence the formation and the removing method. The thermochemical ways for removing tar, heat cracking and catalytic cracking,were stressed. The discussion could be the reference for tar removing in biomass gasification for power system.
