Abstract:The structural characteristics and calculating method for the new adjuster of ring-hammer crushers are presented, and a comparison with the worm adjuster, widely used at home and abroad, is made in this paper. The former worm adjuster makes the screen plate oscillate by means of the axial motion of the leading screw which passes through the center of the worm wheel and rotates simultaneously with it, thus changes the clearance between the screen plate and the ring-hammer, and achieves the proper size of the crushed material. This kind of structure requires more machine parts and higher precision. In addition, the worm gearbox must be equipped with oil-leak prevention device. The new adjuster is of crank-shaft connecting rod structure. It makes the screen plate oscillate by means of the round-trip motion of the connecting rod, thus changes the clearance between the screen plate and the ring-hammer to control the size of the crushed material. This structure requires less machine parts and simpler processing technique. The longitudinal dimension as well as the weight of the whole machine are reduced, thus resulting in a better economic benefit.
