摘    要:H.264/AVC分级视频编码扩展是当前最新的分级视频编码标准,此标准在实现典型的时域、空域和质量分级的同时,保持了与现在广泛应用的H.264/AVC的兼容。描述了H.264/AVC分级扩展的总体设计,阐明了此标准的典型编码器及其产生的码流的结构,详细讨论了把H.264/AVC扩展到可分级标准的基本概念,最后用实验表明了H.264/AVC分级扩展与H.264/AVC的单层编码相比的编码效率。

Abstract:The Scalable Video Coding Extension of the H.264/AVC Standard is the newest scalable video coding specification,which provides the typical temporal,spatial,and quality scalability and keeps the compatibility with the existing widely applied H.264/AVC.The overall design of this SVC specification is described,and then the structure of representative coder and generated bit stream is illustrated.Moreover,the basic concepts for extending H.264/AVC towards SVC are discussed in detail.Finally,the efficiency of this specification is analyzed by means of experiment results compared to H.264/AVC single layer coding.
