红外偏振成像机理概述

摘    要:偏振成像的机理是偏振成像技术的理论基础.从菲涅尔公式、瑞利散射、物体表面纹理和光洁度等方面对偏振成像的机理进行了初步的研究.揭示了偏振成像机理很复杂且不唯一,并受多种因素影响.在红外波段自然光波的偏振特性最显著,因而红外偏振成像具有极大的应用潜力.

Abstract:The characters of polarization of nature light are the physical base of polarization imaging. In this paper, different phenomena of polarized light are discussed, which based on Fresnel formulas, Rayleigh scattering, the texture and the roughness of man-made surfaces, respectively. It is revealed that the mechanism of polarization imaging is not only and very complex, which affected by many factors. Furthermore, it is showed that the contrast of polarization of the light reflected or emitted from the scene interested is very remarkable, especially near the Brewster angle of incidence in Infrared wave band. It can be concluded that the polarization imaging operated in Infrared wave band has greatly potential to improve the performance of the Infrared imager, and can be widely used in military and civil applications.
