Abstract: | It has been shown analytically that a decrease in the matrix loading due to a finely dispersed filler in a material that has a distribution like a segregated network is one of the reasons for an increase in the tribological properties of polytetrafluoroethylene-based composites. The relationship between the matrix loading of the composite and the concentration and size of the filler particles is revealed. An example of how to calculate the matrix loading of a polytetrafluoroethylene-based composite with a diamond powder filler with a mean particle size of 50 nm is given. |
