Material Selection and Structural Matching of Complex Wing Pipe for Aluminum Alloy Hollow Intercooler
Abstract:Aimed at the invalidation problem during manufacturing process of complex wing pipe for Aluminum (AI) alloy hollow intercooler, the following aspects were studied including selection of material thickness, matching of structural strength, size selection of high frequency welding pipe and the influence of pre-welding treatment on welding rate.The experimental results show that when reducing wall thickness of intercooler pipe and cost, the matching of material strength must be fully taken into consideration. Also to ensure welding quality of intercooler core,the transition size of high frequency pipe was required to trim before mounting the core.
