| Abstract: | Experimental endolymphatic hydrops refers to the creation of hydrops in the experimental animal and represents a histologic correlate for Meniere's disease. Details of the surgical means to create this condition in guinea pigs are provided. Alterations in endolymph fluid composition and relative endolymph pressure occur with hydrops. Deterioration in auditory and vestibular function secondary to hydrops can develop. |
