| Abstract: | The ilmenite from Pan Zhi Hua Mine was leached with dilute HCl solution in a fluidized bed. In this paper the kinetics of leach and the mechanism of formation of rutile will be studied to understand the essence of apparent selective leach. It is concluded that despite of the reaction products formed on the particles of ilmenite, the leaching rate continues to be controlled by the chemical reactions on the interface of the unreacted cores. |
