摘    要:光纤的有效面积是评价单模光纤性能指标的一个重要参数。但到目前为止,国内对这一参数的测试研究尚未同见报道。本文介绍用可变孔径法测试出各种折射率剖面结构的单模光纤的远场和近场分布,以及这些光纤的有效面积。并在实验测试的基础上,验证了ITU-T文件中有关光纤有效面积与模场直径间的关系。同时,对目前的各种新型的G.655光纤的有效面积进行了较深入的测试研究。

Abstract:The effective area is an important parameter of single-mode fiber. Up to now, its measurement has not been studied and set up in China. In this paper, it is reported that we have first time measured the FFP,NFP and the Effective Area of single mode fibers with difference Refractive Index Profiles by the Variable Aperture Technique. Based on the results, we have proved the relationship between fibers' effective area and mode field diameter, that is supplied by the ITU-T Recommendation. Meanwhile, the Effective Areas have been measured in details for fiber companies' G. 655 fiber products.
