This paper introduces the properties and selecting principles on several main cutting tool materials such as metal ceramics,coated carbides,ceramics,diamond and CBN,then analyses the influencing factors about the parameters of the high speed cutting tool such as the radius,rakeangle,clearance angle etc,and studies the primary methods to decide these parameters.
