量化AWGN信道的容量及最佳线性量化

摘    要:分析了AWGN信道的输出被均匀量化后的信道容量,研究了基于信道容量最大化的最优量化问题. 结果表明量化比特数越多,为保持相同信道容量所需的信噪比则越少. 与无量化相比, 量化引起的信噪比损失一般在0~2 dB之间.一般采用最优量化时, 3 bit以上的量化造成的损失基本可以忽略不计. 给出了能使信道容量最大的最佳量化间隔的多项式拟合式.

Abstract:The channel capacity of quantized AWGN channel and optimal uniform quantization has been studied.Quantization will cause 0~2 dB loss of SNR depends on the quantizer bit number and the quantization step. The performance loss caused by 3 or more bits quantizer can be negligible. We have also found the polynomial to fit the optimal quantization step that can maximize the channel capacity.
