近代中国石湾陶的转型

中国手工艺的近代转型,是在动荡的社会条件下进行的。面对西方工业化的冲击,自给自足的自然经济体系逐步解体,以石湾陶为代表的许多手工艺门类面临不变则亡的窘境。因此,从政府到学者再到从业者,都在这一过程中为石湾陶的改良做出了诸多努力。然而由于政治、社会等原因,石湾陶的转型并不顺利。但是,这一转型过程依旧能给我们以启示。尤其是在手工艺由工业产业向文化事业转型的关键时期的今天,面对手工艺与科技的关系,我们可以从历史的进程中看到,科技进步的力量是手工艺向前发展的重要推动力。

The Transformation of Shiwan Pottery in Modern China

The modern transformation of Chinese handicraft was carried out under turbulent social conditions. Faced with the impact of Western industrialization, the self-sufficient natural economic system gradually disintegrated, and many handicraft categories which represented by Shiwan pottery faced the dilemma of extinction. Therefore, government, scholars and practitioners have made many efforts to improve Shiwan pottery in this process. However, due to multiple and complex reasons, the transformation of Shiwan pottery is not finished. However, this transformation process can still give us inspiration. Especially in the critical period of today’s handicraft, facing the relationship between handicraft and science and technology, from the historical process we can see that the power of scientific and technological is an important driving force for the development of handicraft.
