Abstract:The phase change material(PCM) can store and release a large amount of heat during phase transition process and this process is approximately isothermal. Accordingly, PCM can be used for temperature control. It is especially suitable for the electronic equipment which works in harsh environment or has large heat consumption or high requirement for thermoregulation. A certain aerospace electronic equipment has the characteristics of short-time operation and high power density. Using PCM with suitable temperature to increase heat-sink of this system is an important means to solve its heat dissipation problems. In this paper thermal design of the phase transition shell of the aerospace electronic equipment is completed by PCM temperature control technology and conformal design of the shell and complex structure equipment is realized by metal 3D printing technology. The research results show that the metal 3D printing shell has obvious advantages in terms of temperature index, weight index, rocessing realization and development cycle.
