| Abstract: | Out of the green! Precursor‐directed biosynthesis allowed for the production of new nostocarboline derivatives that display phytotoxic and algicidal properties—in a phototrophic organism. The mechanism of action includes downregulation of photosynthesis, as demonstrated by chlorophyll‐a fluorescence imaging.  |
