| Abstract: | Based on analysis of stress field around anchor roots, some cases in which anchor roots might be damaged are described, and some problems are discussed in current formulas for calculation of embedded depth of anchor roots. In view of the problems, some formulas, based on the theory of rock failure strength and the theory of elasticity are given for calculation of the minimal embedded depth of anchor roots under corresponding conditions. |
