Abstract: | The bridged μ-hydroxo dinuclear four-co-ordinated zinc(II) complex 2, derived from hydrotris(N-xylyl-2-thioimidazolyl)borate cleaves the P–O bond in tris(p-nitrophenyl)phosphate to form a mixture of a monomeric phosphate diester complex 3 and phenoxo complex 4. |
