| Abstract: | A nitride, believed to be SiN,, has been separated from three nitrided silicon steels. Germanium nitride, GeN,, has been prepared from pure germanium. Comparison of the diffraction patterns indicates that the two nitrides are isomorphous; an orthorhombic structure is suggested in place of the rhombohedral structure previously reported for Ge3N4. |
